Hello, my name is Gregg Rau, owner of RG7 Contracting.

I grew up in Bridgeport, Michigan, before my family moved to Shields, Michigan. I graduated from Swan Valley High School in 1998 and began my professional career shortly thereafter as a Retail Sales Associate with Northwest Tire & Service.

It was there that I discovered my passion for customer service, sales, and helping people find solutions to their everyday needs. I truly enjoyed working with customers and becoming a trusted resource within the community.

As the years went on, I continued my career in the automotive and tire industry, where I found tremendous success with Belle Tire. During my time there, I had the privilege of managing three different store locations and leading outstanding teams. The friendships, leadership experience, and customer relationships I built throughout those years remain some of the most valuable experiences of my life.

After a successful career in retail management, I decided to pursue my entrepreneurial goals and started The Other Guys Heating & Cooling. Through that business, I have worked closely with many trusted local HVAC professionals and contractors, building strong relationships and partnerships that have continued for more than 25 years.

I have always been mechanically inclined and passionate about learning new skills. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals from many different trades. Their knowledge, mentorship, and friendship helped shape my understanding of the construction industry and ultimately led me to create RG7 Contracting.

At RG7 Contracting, our number one priority is taking care of our customers. We believe every customer deserves to be heard, respected, and provided with quality workmanship. We take the time to understand exactly what our customers are looking for and strive to deliver their projects in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.

Customer service and customer feedback are extremely important to me. With decades of experience serving customers, managing teams, and building relationships, I understand the value of trust, communication, and doing the job right the first time.
